Principal Geotechnical Engineer

My client is a small geoenvironmental consultancy offering its services to both public and private sectors.

Due to internal promotions there is now a need for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer.

The role will involve; mentoring and assisting Junior staff out on site, project manage various site investigations from start to finish. You will have strong technical and specialist knowledge of; slope stability analysis, foundation design, retaining wall design, earth structures, deep basement, contaminated land assessments, human health risk assessments, and developing remediation strategies. You will be technically competent in using software such as CLEA, Sniffer, SLOPE W, Reward and Plaxis. You will be expected to use your experience and help develop the team as a whole in the Geotechnical sector.

As the successful candidate you will have a good degree MSc level preferably in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a similar discipline. You will be chartered preferably to MICE. You will have over 10 years experience in the field already. You will be eager, enthusiastic, friendly and willing to develop your career further.
