Geotechnical Team Leader

My client is a specialist Geoenvironmental Engineering consultancy providing their specialist services to various clients for a range of projects based in the Northern regions of the UK.

They are actively in need of an experienced Geotechnical Team Leader.

The role will involve a great deal of responsibility and a superb opportunity for in-house promotion to Director status within a few years.

Initially you will be acted as an aid to the Senior Directors with dealing with bills, tendering and project management of large scale projects from start to finish. You will assist in the general running of the company such as budgeting, liaising with clients and contractors, recruiting, business development and training staff members.

The ideal candidate will already have a minimum of 6 years in the field already with a great deal of Geotechnical Design experience. You should have experience in foundation design, retaining structures, pile design, slope stability assessment and design. Its also expected you will have a proven track record of success in managing projects carrying out geotechnical and contaminated land site investigations, ground water and gas monitoring, quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and using specialist software such as CLEA, SNIFFER and Arcview GIS. It will be advantageous if you have some experience in element analysis.

You should possess the following skills;

• Strong project management capabilities
• Leadership skills
• Creativity

You should have a strong Geotechnical or Civil Engineering background educated to preferably MSc level although this is not essential. You should be technically competent in your knowledge, and posses the ability to write technical reports. You will be friendly, enthusiastic and committed to developing your personal career within an expanding and successful consultancy.
