Our Processes Team provides expertise and advice in coastal processes and morphology to inform and facilitate sustainable management decisions for a range of situations. The team leads, and contributes, to studies including shoreline management and monitoring, habitat management and creation, assessments of long term morphological change, the coastal process components of EIAs relating to port and other estuarine developments, coastal process studies relating to offshore renewable energy developments, flood risk assessments, navigation and dredging studies, and R&D in the fields of coastal and estuarine processes and geomorphology. Due to continuing expansion, we have the following vacancies in our Processes Team. Consultant/Senior Consultant: Coastal/Estuarine Processes and GeomorphologyWe wish to recruit a Consultant or Senior Consultant who will, ideally, be a technical specialist in coastal/estuarine processes, geomorphology or engineering. The successful applicant will typically contribute to, and/or manage, a range of the studies outlined above. In addition, the post holder will have the opportunity to develop and undertake both internal and external research initiatives. The successful applicant would be expected to contribute to the preparation of proposals, the managing of research and consultancy projects, and provide specialist technical expertise to project work. Applicants for the Consultant position should have at least 5 years post-graduate experience, or for the Senior Consultant position 5-10 years experience; a degree in a relevant discipline and be a member of a relevant professional body and/or have a post-graduate qualification. Researcher: Coastal/Estuarine Processes and GeomorphologyWe wish to recruit a Researcher with a background in coastal processes and / or geomorphology to join our expanding Processes Team. The post-holder will contribute to the range of studies outlined above along with the opportunity to contribute to internal and external research initiatives. A logical scientific approach is essential, together with good analytical and report writing skills and enthusiasm.
