An opportunity exists for an Assistant Manager to work within the Tides and Geodetic element of the Australian Hydrographic Office (AHO). This position would suit a Maths or Science Professional in Spatial Information Systems, Surveying, Oceanography or similar. Duties primarily involve providing guidance and support to a small team in the investigations into tidal and/or geodetic matters in support of survey and cartographic operations, in addition to the preparation of tidal and geodetic related products. Previous knowledge of and experience in surveying and/or tidal analysis, preferably within a nautical charting context, would be advantageous. This position reports to the Manager of the Tides and Geodetic element.
