Ocean Process Studies
Seeking a postdoctoral research associate to study oceanic submesoscale processes and their implications for biological production on scales of 100 m - 10 km. Knowledge of ocean dynamics, mixing and transport, numerical ocean modeling, Lagrangian modeling, data analysis, or theoretical oceanography is a plus. The research will involve studying physical-biological interactions in the Lagrangian framework using modeling and analysis. The project is an NSF collaborative study and offers scope for interaction with observational and theoretical scientists in the Boston area, in particular with Dr. Amit Tandon at UMass Dartmouth. The initial appointment at Boston University will be for one year, with possibilities for extension to a second year.
Please contact Amala Mahadevan (amala@bu.edu) with a CV and brief statement of research if interested.
