FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute is seeking a Coastal Ocean Modeler - Fort Pierce, FL. Summary of Responsibilities Include:
Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution in Marine Science, Oceanography, or related area and one year of appropriate experience is required. PhD degree is preferred. One year of actual ocean modeling related experience is highly preferred. Significant knowledge of at least one of the generic coastal ocean models (e.g., POM, ECOM-si, ROMS, FVCOM). Strong programming and mathematical skills are desired; familiar with high performance computing (HPC) environment and significant knowledge of Fortran, Matlab, and/or Python is required.
