Exciting Opportunity
The Marine Institute (MI) is currently involved in a number of exciting research projects as part of the Sea Change and NDP programmes. One such project, the Integrated Marine Exploration Programme, funded under the Government's Strategy for Science, Technology & Innovation (SSTI) has created an exciting and challenging opportunity.
The purpose of this programme is to further develop and augment national capacity in marine exploration both by assembling a pool of trained personnel who can increase the quantum and nature of information gathered during scientific survey programmes, and by assisting third-level institutions in the provision of "hands on" training in the collection of data using Ireland's Research Vessels.
