Port Conservancy Officer (1 Post)Ministry of Defence (Navy) - Queen's Harbour Master Plymouth The Queen's Harbour Master is responsible for the protection of the Dockyard Port of Plymouth. This encompasses the perseverance of life, protection of the environment, and protection of property within the port. You will be responsible for the conservancy, environmental protection and surveying of the Dockyard Port. Duties will include overseeing periodic hydrographic surveys, monitoring port navigational aids, managing the annual dredging programme, liaising with the UKHO and local stakeholders and monitoring the environment issues within the port. The successful applicant will have an appropriate degree or Cat B qualification in hydrography supported by experience and understanding of the maritime environment.
