Operations Manager required at Partrac Ltd

Due to a sustained period of growth, Partrac is recruiting for Oceanographers / Metocean Engineers. This new position would see you joining a rapidly expanding, innovative team with a reputation for delivering high quality marine data and expertise. Partrac is an independent oceanographic, marine geoscience and environmental survey company. We provide monitoring and survey solutions and consultancy to the offshore renewable industry, ports & dredging companies, regulators, coastal councils and civil engineering consultants.

We require Oceanographers/Metocean Engineers to conduct coastal oceanographic data acquisition and analysis projects. The responsibilities include client liaison, project planning and logistics, H&S responsibilities, mooring design and deployment, equipment maintenance, data analysis and quality report writing. With a flexible attitude to changing project requirements you will be required to conduct a mix of offshore and undertake coastal survey work.

Experience and skills required to fulfil the role to include:

• A background in Oceanography and a consolidated understanding of the basic principles.
• Experience in servicing, programming and the deployment of oceanographic instruments.
• Operational Marine and Vessel experience.
• Project management / co-ordination experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Client liaison and project planning.
• Actively involved in establishing technical and safety procedures.
• Act as trainer and mentor for junior staff.

All candidates must have a minimum of 3 years operational experience of oceanographic survey.
