The faculty emphasis on integration of mentoring, teaching, and research; and the excellent facilities and staff contribute to make this one of the best programs for a Master's degree in marine science in the United States. Since its establishment in 1966, MLML and its leading scientists have contributed significantly to the advancement of the field of marine science, both in Monterey Bay and worldwide.
