Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Marine Chemistry

(Based in Tauranga)

With approximately 700 students, the School of Science offers degrees spanning the disciplines of Aquaculture, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Ecology and

Biodiversity, Environmental Sciences, and Molecular and Cellular Biology.

For our Tauranga campus, the School of Science seeks candidates who can contribute to teaching introductory chemistry and environmental chemistry and have research interests that align with our existing research programmes in Marine Sciences or Aquaculture. An established high-quality research record is required, with the potential to build and lead research programmes and gain external funding. You will be able to engage actively in a number of research groups in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, including the Environmental Research Institute, as part of your research work.

You will show a commitment to excellence in teaching and will be expected to contribute to the design and delivery of teaching programmes for all levels of study. A commitment to using innovative approaches to teaching is essential.

Salary range for Lecturers is NZ$74,034 to $89,163 per year and for Senior Lecturers (Range 1) is NZ$91,710 to $106,995 per year.
