We'd like you to join us. We are looking for an experienced professional with significant experience of the quarrying industry who can teach quarry technology at University level. Your expertise should include one or more of the following: quarry technology, business management, workplace environmental management, mechanical and electrical engineering. You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and ideally a post-graduate qualification. You will have high level IT skills and be capable of delivering teaching materials in a web-based format. The post is based in Geographical, Earth and Environmental Sciences, one of three subject areas within the School of Sciences. You join a team of professional, committed and enthusiastic staff delivering industry standard diploma programs in Quarry Technology and Asphalt Technology at the University of Derby in partnership with the Institutes of Quarrying and Asphalt Technology. Program delivery is by means of weekend tutorials and electronically over the internet. You will be required to participate in both.
