Job Title: Project Geologist

Location: West Africa

Job Details:

Project Geologist required to drive exploration on our client's African projects. The Geologist's primary role will be to supervise all aspects of exploration programmes on active exploration projects with a view to finding and delineating orebodies. In addition the Geologist will be responsible for project generation throughout Africa and required to ensure all corporate and site procedures are adhered to and department personnel comply with all relevant statutory acts, regulations and compliance conditions.

This is a senior position and the Project Geologist will advance exploration targets to resource status by managing exploration resources to efficiently evaluate targets on a rate and rank basis within the constraints of the exploration budget. Effectively manage a diverse team of professional and support staff/contractors in remote third world environs. The incumbent will be required to travel internationally as business needs dictate.

The ideal candidates will have a B.Sc. Geology (honours), high level technical skills in general geology and exploration, demonstrated Project Management ability, proficiency with GIS software Proficiency in Resource Modelling and database management.
