An established and rapidly growing junior gold exploration company, seeks a Senior Exploration Geologist who will play a major role in the development and management of exploration opportunities for the Company in sub-Saharan Africa. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and pro-active graduate geologist and have excellent written, verbal, organisational and leadership skills; have a demonstrable knowledge of geochemical, geophysical and other exploration techniques; have a proven ability to successfully manage and report on exploration programmes, prepare and meet budgets and work programmes, supervise local geotechnicians and contractors, undertake statutory reports, manage tenements and in-country QA/QC and develop staff skills. A working knowledge of French desirable.

Extensive travel to and within the countries of operation in sub-Saharan Africa will be required, where an ability to deal and negotiate effectively at Government level will also be essential.

Reporting to the Chief Geologist and Chief Executive this is an excellent opportunity for a suitable candidate to gain experience at management level within a dynamic junior exploration company. A competitive salary and benefits package will be negotiated, based on qualifications and experience.
