Our client, a mining company in the Middle East, requires a Chief Mine Geologist to supervise the Mine Geology department in its regional office in Jeddah. The role will include generating orebody exploration target areas to be evaluated, interpreted and mined efficiently and economically, plus calculating orebody reserve, monitoring the grade of ore being mined and commenting, as required, on the mining methods and techniques employed to ensure maximization of grade and conservation of reserves. You will be required to participate in developing short and long term geological plans and projects, participate in evaluating and interpreting results and to prepare detailed reports. In addition, you will supervise the activities of the Mine Geologists and direct the strategy of the Geology department.

The successful candidate will require a BSc in Geology or Mining Geology and 8 years relevant experience. Good knowledge of English and operation of geological software, such as SURPAC and Datamine, is an advantage. Position is offered on a single basis with good salary package and bonuses.
