A talented Geologist with background in structurally complex Au systems, or other structurally complex precious metals actively sought. Role offered on 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO ex Perth or on residential basis in Kalgoorlie, WA.
Your Role
Reporting to the Chief Mine Geologist, and working back-to-back with a strong Senior Geologist the key elements of your role will include:
- Supervising the Mine Geology function (open pit & underground operations)
- Running / supervising infill and extensional drill-testing, grade control, data collection, interpretation, wire-framing, resource estimation, reconciliation, budgeting
- Training and mentoring less experienced staff
Skills & Qualifications Sought
- Strong tertiary qualification in a Geoscience related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years mine geology experience, to include strong background in gold or similar deposits
- Resource estimation capabilities
- Advanced interpretation skills
- Strong supervisory and mentoring skills
- Proficient in industry standard software, experience with Vulcan considered desirable
