The Role:
- Involvement in training and mentoring more junior team members
- Overseeing logging and interpretation of drilling data, ensuring QA/QC is of a high standard
- Updating 3D models using Datamine software
- Mineral resource estimate updating
- Reviewing historic geological data and geological models, with a view to generating near mine drill targets
- Prioritising targets in relation to their prospectively
- Designing and budgeting for drill programs
Skills Sought
- 5+ years experience as a Geologist, with at least 3 years in a Mine Geology environment and min of BSc in Geology (or related discipline)
- Demonstrated working knowledge of QA/QC, block modelling, advanced grade estimation techniques, and reconciliation
- Clean drivers licence
- Strong commitment to safety, and an interest in ongoing process improvement
- Ability to lead by example, communicate effectively and motivate a team
- Well developed analytical ability with high attention to detail.
