Senior Coal Geologists - Australian Based Roles

The successful applicant would ideally have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years coal based exploration experience, however, less experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and report writing skills
• Experience working with drill rig programs
• A valid Australian or equivalent International drivers license
• Computer literacy and proficiency in widely used industry software
• Ability to work in Australia

The role will include performing and being mentored on:

• Execution of exploration programs
• Delivery of drilling including core and chip logging
• Structural and geophysical interpretation
• Acquiring, compiling and evaluating data to enhance the exploration program
• Research and data analysis
• Assisting senior geologists with the development of computer models, roll-out plans, budgets, scopes of work and drilling programs
• Liaising with various drilling companies and other suppliers regarding time frames, costings, contract terms, and other relevant specifications under the guidance of a senior geologist

Senior roles exist for candidates who wish to lead and develop teams to deliver these exploration programs for our clients. Geologists with experience in operational open cut mine environments are also encouraged to apply
