Description:

To monitor (PRISM and project controls system) the status of the project in the areas of cost and schedule. This incumbent is responsible for maintaining the Project Control System for approximately $50 Million to $500 Million in Capital and Major Maintenance projects annually, in support of multiple Project Managers and their teams.

This includes Strategic Planning, Development of the Work Breakdown Structure, verifying Estimates, Scheduling, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Performance Reporting. This position will serve in a leading, mentoring and coordinating capacity of the team and day to day operations in support of the Manager, Project Services.

Position Requirements:

• Experience and understanding the intricacies and internal working mechanisms of an executing project environment in the such areas as procurement, expediting, contracts, cost control, scheduling, estimating, construction co-ordination, safety etc
• Experience that can assist and mentor a project site group (project controls) to produce the control and reporting documents on capital projects.
• Ability to setup and perform the project controls requirements of an executing project.
• Incumbent should understand Project Management from an EPCM (Engineering Procurement Contracting Management) perspective

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's in engineering or business such as accounting

Experience:

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in project controls including supervisory experience

License/Professional Requirements:

• Computer software skills in Microsoft spreadsheet, word and databases
• Use of commercial scheduling programs such as MS Project and Primavera
• Ability to determine patterns or 'trends' in data records
