The Site Project Controls r will ensure the successful control of costs of assigned projects. The incumbent will assemble and input project cost and work breakdown structure into Vale Inco cost control system "Prism". The incumbent will review, analyze and present alternative solutions to cost variances within assigned projects. They will work as a valued project team member. The successful candidate will be expected to guide and lead others (less experienced) in cost control techniques. The person must be knowledgeable in Project Management Principals, project execution and construction procedures and processes. The incumbent may provide project control services on multiple projects simultaneously of various sizes/dollar values

Position Requirements:

Must work with project team members, operations, accounting and maintenance to ensure that costs are properly allocated to the various projects. Must be able to prepare all various types of paperwork associated with projects namely requisitions, schedules, estimates to complete, cost performance index, monthly accruals, and will look for direction where needed. Incumbent can be assigned to specific tasks as required. The incumbent will be required to produce a cash flow profile for each project accurate to +/- 10% on a three month rolling average.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Community college graduate with an Accounting/Business Administration background and 5 years experience/education in project management
  Or
• Engineering degree with 5 years experience in cost control/scheduling

License/Professional Requirements:

• Certificate accreditation towards accounting is an asset
