Accountable for the management and supervision of the
Structural group within Engineering in accordance with the requirements of the
various projects across all assets. Responsibilities include but are not
limited to:

To fulfil the role of Structural Technical Authority.

Provide technical support to the organisation for
operational support and design engineering as required.

Demonstrate familiarity and knowledge of necessary safety
practices, design criteria, and technical standards to ensure implementation
of best practise during discharge of work-scopes

Ensure the Structural support provided satisfies the
requirements of the Asset Cases for Safety and performance standards.

Work as Structural Engineer as required on conceptual,
front end and detailed engineering design.

Participate in offshore surveys as required.

Participate in constructability surveys or reviews
-
Participate in relevant safety processes such as Hazids,
Hazops, etc.

Implement and safely deliver Structural engineering
designs in accordance with planning schedules and cost estimates
-
Identify new or innovative technology that will provide
improvements in safety, operations or reduced costs
-
Implement instructions from the Head of Projects.

Provide supervision, direction and support for all
Structural personnel.

To ensure all work is executed in a diligent and safe
manner in compliance with the Management System associated working
procedures, relevant DPE, national or international standards as
appropriate.

Interpret work-scope requirements, and demonstrate
ability to recognise potential problems and prospective solutions.

Manage third-party service providers where these have
been contracted

Ensure that all design changes are captured by the change
control process.

Effective communication with onshore and offshore
personnel

Provide management reports as required.
-
Attend project meetings as required.
-
Provide input to continuous improvement of procedures and
processes.

Contribute to the development of the plans, schedules and
estimates for individual work scopes and the integrated plan.

Identify the appropriate resources within the Structural
group to undertake all assigned activities.

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with
Asset priorities and schedules as set out in the integrated plan.

Review of job progress and cost reports regarding
Structural engineering activities.

To liaise with other disciplines and departments in the
execution of the work.
