Worldwide oil and gas exploration and production company with refining and marketing operations. The Company’s focus is finding oil and natural gas, and that is primarily done through an exploration program that is centred on deepwater Gulf of Mexico and its international prospects. In addition to exploration opportunities in North America, there are significant oil and gas exploration/production in other parts of the globe such as Malaysia and the Congo.

Objective:

Revise the current Full Field Model of a producing field to incorporate the latest drilling results and update the oil and gas in-place volumes. The model is required to be simulated to assess field performance and identify possible oil infill or EOR opportunities. The Model will also be used to identify future gas well locations and as a key input to an updated field development plan. A key output is therefore a fully documented report incorporating the input data, modelling methodology and results.

Envisaged Scope of Work:

  • Review the current model and identify the main workflow.

  • Review Structural model, seismic picks and ties and well tops and incorporation in to the model.

  • Review Petrophysical Analysis and QC data used in Petrel

  • Incorporate recent well results

  • Update structural model

  • Assess property modeling methodology, recommend appropriate workflow and model properties.

  • Generate Volumetrics with sensitivities.

  • Assess Future Well Locations

Qualifications/ Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in field development and production geology including experience within an operating company.

  • Strong 3D reservoir modelling skills with proven track record of producing reservoir models for simulation purposes using Petrel.

  • Thorough understanding of related subsurface disciplines in particular, experience of working with reservoir engineers to understand field performance.

  • Experience in clastic reservoir geology and modelling fluvial and marginal marine environments would be advantageous

  • Experience in working with national staff would be advantageous in this role.
