The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer with the technical expertise to meet the company's subsurface requirements by:
- Providing high level technical Petroleum and Reservoir engineering advice and guidance to local staff
- Managing projects and project teams to ensure all projects meet exacting international standards
- Providing input for appropriate resourcing of activities
- Work across projects as needed
- Ensuring accurate production profiling, reserve estimation and reporting
- Conducting studies for asset subsurface teams as required.
The Person
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
- A relevant post-graduate qualification in Engineering (Petroleum Engineering preferred)
- Minimum of 12 years experience working in Reservoir and Petroleum Engineering with at least 5 years in an international environment
- Wide familiarity with state of the art technical and business practices common to international oil companies active in oil and gas exploration and development
- Detailed knowledge of probabilistic modelling and decision tree analysis together with economic analysis
- Depth of knowledge and experience in reservoir development planning and reservoir performance evaluation, reservoir modelling and simulation, reserve estimation and reservoir geology, reservoir management, well testing, log analysis, and at least some well completion and intervention understanding
- Experienced in production technology issues in field development
- Able to review, analyse and present complex technical information clearly and precisely
- Ability to manage multiple projects and activities
- Sound technical and commercial judgement
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to perform as a team player
- Confident and effective presentation skills
- Adaptable and able to work in different multi-national environments.
