The Role

Due to continuing and significant growth, our client is seeking a motivated oil and gas professional to support the company's business development within country, including working with existing key clients and to identify and initiate opportunities with new and emerging accounts.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Establish contact with all major Oil & Gas operators and pursue pre-qualification
  • Establish contact with major EPC players with on-going projects, to seek installation assignments
  • Identify a suitable partner to meet local content
  • Attend all pre-bid conferences
  • Establish benchmarks / guidelines for estimating project cost
  • Understand the requirements relating to applicable laws, customs, taxes, duties etc
  • Source and lead communications and negotiations with local service providers (offshore specific)
  • Provide strategic input for industry performance and future direction
  • Create a Bidding portfolio for the company in Indonesia.

The Person

The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:

  • Minimum qualification of a Degree in a relevant discipline. Postgraduate business qualification is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience in a similar role within an oil and gas operating company
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of upstream commercial agreements
  • Good experience based knowledge of oil and gas sales
  • A strong understanding of industry trends and directions, and competitor activities
  • A thorough knowledge of business development and M&A activities from project appraisal through deal delivery
  • Enthusiastic, with proactive approach to balancing technical best practice, cross-disciplinary solutions and business requirements
  • Commercially aware with entrepreneurial attitude
  • Self-disciplined and results driven individual that works well under pressure
  • Ability to perform as a team player.
