Vice President - MEAS Region

The Role

Positioned within the senior management team, our client is seeking a motivated Vice President to head up their new Middle East office. Focus will be on the operational and financial performance within the Middle East, Africa and Sub-Sahara region, specifically with regard to the performance of sales, support and technical functions.

In addition to encouraging innovative thinking around process optimisation and service delivery, this role is also required to deliver software and services sales budgets as set by the executive management team.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Responsible for the full operational P&L
• Manage the revenue and EBITDA growth and ensure it is in line with corporate goals and objectives
• Build a positive profit, growth and service delivery oriented culture
• Further develop market share in the assigned region and ensure that the company is seen as a technology and services leader
• Promote a positive growth culture and implement staff initiatives
• Mentor the MEAS team as well as encouraging and supporting their career aspirations.

The Person

The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:

• Earth Science degree, preferably in Geology or Geophysics
• Business qualifications (MBA) would be advantageous
• Significant and relevant oil and gas industry experience focused on Geoscience is essential
• Previous experience in the Middle East, Africa and Sub-Sahara region is an advantage.
• Previous experience in the role of General Manager
• Commercially aware with entrepreneurial attitude and extensive negotiating skills
• Exceptional leadership, motivational and team working skills
• Ability to perform as a team player
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel.
