An established oil and gas exploration and production company experiencing significant success in the Asia region.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Technologist who is an innovative solutions finder and technically skilled and knowledgeable in the design of completion and downhole engineering.
A key focus of the role will be to:
- Conduct downhole analysis to determine theoretical performance then model different behaviours to determine if production issues are reservoir or completion problems
- Provide technical expertise in production enhancement and optimization and drive implementation of activities to deliver optimum production
- Advise on technologies
- Mentor and support less experienced staff.
The Person
This is a local staff position and open only to candidates of Malaysian nationality. The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant discipline
- Broad range of Petroleum Engineering experience with a minimum 12+ years experience in Production Technology
- Previous experience with brown field development offshore and onshore
- Sound experience in stimulation, completion design, production enhancement & optimization, well surveillance & intervention, nodal & well performance analysis, gas lift design & optimization
- Sound project management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and able to problem solve effectively
- A positive contributor within a team
- Highly motivated.
