As a member of the Geomechanics team, you will provide Geomechanics solutions and support to the asset teams and EOR projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Support the implementation and delivery of the company's Geomechanics strategy
- Contribute expertise to ensure the timely delivery, technically excellent and business focused Geomechanics solutions
- Manage workplans
- Assist in ensuring quality databases and availability of data
- Assist in managing and coordinating external services
- Ensure compliance to the company's HSE guidelines and procedures
- Participate in transfer skills and knowledge of Geomechanics to subsurface staff.
The Person
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree, MSc or PhD in Rock Mechanics, Petroleum Engineering, Geology or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 8 years in the oil and gas sector in Geomechanics
- A proven Geomechanics technical specialist with sound knowledge from predicting drilling risks in the first well to maximizing recovery from producing assets
- Experience in providing Geomechanics support for EOR projects preferred
- Effective team player and leader
- Strong and effective communication skills and the ability to interface and network effectively with other expert practitioners within Geomechanics and other disciplines
- Proven ability to coach and mentor staff
- Sound project management skills
- Highly motivated.
