Leading provider of software and consulting services for the oil and gas industry.
The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide customer support and consulting services within the Asian Pacific region. The role will include some traditional helpdesk style software support and formal training and consulting functions. Responsibilities will include:
- Provide interpretation services as assigned
- Ensure quality delivery of training material
- Provide assistance in resolving client issues
- Ensure effective use of support procedures and tracking systems
- Continue to actively develop own technical expertise
- Assist with client requirements and product development
- Provide reporting as required.
The Person
This position is a local staff role open to candidates who have Malaysian nationality only. The following qualifications, skills and experience are required:
- Degree or higher in Geoscience
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or in a geophysics role
- Support service experience preferred
- Knowledge of industry standard Interpretation and Seismic Processing and Imaging workflows
- Knowledge of Linux and windows operating systems
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Effective customer service skills
- Ability to perform as a team player
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and presentation skills and capable of conducting classroom training sessions
- Flexible - must be able to travel.
