Our client is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to join their multicultural and multidisciplinary appraisal and development group based in Kuala Lumpur. The purpose of the role will be to provide technical expertise and support in Reservoir Engineering.
A key focus of the role will be to provide expertise in the following areas:
- All aspects of field development studies for onshore, offshore and deepwater fields
- Developing field plans
- Well management
- Well test analysis
- Wellbore modelling.
Providing support and mentoring for less experienced staff will also be an important component of the role.
The Person
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering
- 15+ years experience in Reservoir Engineering working in an operator environment
- Experience in appraisal and development of offshore and deepwater fields
- Sound and proven experience in the technical areas listed in the role description above
- Previous experience working effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
- Effective project management skills
- Resourceful and able to make decisions
- Sound business and commercial skills
- Ability to see the big picture
- Strong problem solving skills
- Confident and effective communication skills in English.
