A successful oil and gas exploration and production company

The Role

Our client is seeking a Production Chemist with technical expertise in studies and projects from identification and definition phase to execution.

In this role you will manage a team of Production Chemists to provide support for a range of projects including EOR, waterflood and sour gas projects. As head of the team you will be responsible for:
  • developing the technical capability of the team,
  • establishing best practice,
  • managing related services and supply contracts, and
  • sharing and implementing new technologies.

The Person

The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:

  • University degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant discipline and oil and gas industry experience.
  • Sound knowledge of, and exposure to, various EOR and sour technologies.
  • Previous experience in contract management and tendering process and has to be a team player, able to work effectively in multidiscipline teams.
  • Sound project management skills
  • Proven effective team leadership skills
  • High level of motivation
  • Effective networking and relationship building skills.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
