Production Chemists - Stimulation Fluids

Our Client

Highly successful oil and gas operator company.

Our client is seeking a Production Chemist with expertise in Stimulation to manage all fluid related aspects for the company's stimulation activities from planning stages through to execution and evaluation. Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Provide technical support to Drilling and Petroleum Engineers on all aspects of fluids engineering linked to stimulation activities.
• Maintain the database of all fluids engineering activities and services.
• Evaluate current performance and implement new technology as appropriate.
• Provide technical input into contract management and the tendering processes.
• Maintain strong communication channels with all parties and ensure that a strong team approach is encouraged across all activities.
• Mentor less experienced Production Chemists.

The Person

The following skills experience and qualifications are required:

• A degree or higher in a relevant Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry or other relevant discipline.
• 15 years experience in stimulation.
• Extensive rigsite experience, at least 5 years hands-on, with exposure to a variety of fluid systems and rig-types.
• A specialist in stimulation techniques with extensive knowledge of completion design and associated equipment.
• Highly competent in utilising appropriate software packages that assist with engineering design, execution and review aspects of stimulation activities.
• An in-depth knowledge of the petroleum industry, with business awareness, is essential to perform effectively in this position.
• At least 5 years leadership experience that involved co-ordinating staff and technical activities
• Effective communication skills.
• Well developed analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• High level of motivation.
