![]() Manager, Quantitative Interpretation GroupJob Ref No: 177 Location: London Job Type: Staff Position Description: Reporting to the VP, and working with a team of petrophysical, geological and geophysical specialists, this position is key to the efficient and smooth running of the London office QI team. Management and leadership skills are fundamental to the role and there is a large amount of freedom granted to develop both the people and the business in the way the incumbent sees fit. Due to a high level of activity, the position requires a positive, enthusiastic and experienced person with managerial and supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the oil sector with proven experience of managing a team of geoscientists in an oil company or service company. Quantitative Interpretation of seismic encompasses Geophysics, Petrophysics, Geology and Reservoir Engineering disciplines. Activities include: rock physics, velocity modelling, well-to-seismic interpretation, acoustic rock and fluid properties analysis, reservoir property modelling, amplitude and AVO assessment, volume interpretation, seismic inversion, pore-pressure prediction and integration with other geophysical techniques such as EM. The QI team performs exploration, appraisal and development related reservoir and fluid prediction services for many International clients. Key functions include:
