Senior Reservoir Engineer

Our Client

Successful oil and gas exploration and production company operating onshore and offshore assets.

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced technical Reservoir Engineer to work within their development asset team to provide support in integrated reservoir studies and field development planning with the objective to maximize production.

Expat package and staff position.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure best practice is maintained.
  • Create and update 3D reservoir simulation models to be used for Field Development Planning
  • Identify drilling opportunities, well interventions and prepare documentation.
  • Support and prepare data gathering campaigns.
  • Quantify reservoir risk and uncertainty and integrate them in production forecast analysis
  • Be involved in the daily management and/or planning of waterflood and EOR recovery mechanisms.
  • Support major activity with site visits as requested.
  • Participate in annual reserves and budget preparation.
  • Mentor and support less experienced staff on all Reservoir Engineering techniques.

The Person

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • Degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience working as Reservoir Engineer for field development projects and studies.
  • Experience in the following areas is essential: Building and updating 3D dynamic simulation models; field development planning and uncertainty analysis; development well planning and execution, reserves calculation and general reservoir engineering reporting
  • Experience in waterflood essential and experience in EOR recovery methods would be an advantage.
  • Proven effective team player and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Good communication skills, fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful and achievement focused.
