The Role
Our client is seeking a Reservoir Engineer experienced in reservoir characterization analysis and field development planning. The responsibilities for this role will include:
- Provide Reservoir Engineering input and support for field development planning.
- Ensure all reservoir uncertainties and risks are incorporated into forward appraisal and development plans, and are included in all estimates of reserves.
- Optimise development scenarios and assess supply risk through numerical simulation modelling.
- Apply reservoir engineering expertise in delivering assigned projects and present completed analysis and recommendations.
- Contribute to all phases of planning, delivery and evaluation of assigned appraisal programmes.
- Coach and support less experience Reservoir Engineers.
The Person
The follow skills experience and qualifications re required:
- Degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years working in the oil and gas industry as a Reservoir Engineer with significant involvement in development projects.
- Experience with shale gas and/or coalbed methane and/or tight gas developments is preferred.
- Experience in numerical simulation modelling and field development planning.
- Sound knowledge of subsurface engineering.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary projects teams.
- Effective team player and able to work independently as needed.
- Effective communication and relationship building skills.
- High level of motivation and outcome focused.
