Petrophysicist

Our Client

A highly successful and dynamic global oil and gas E&P company is seeking an experienced regional Petrophysicist to join their development team of technical experts.

The Opportunity

The key focus for this role is to work within a multi disciplinary team to provide Petrophysics support and expertise. Some of the responsibilities for this role will include:

• Conduct detailed petrophysical studies within a multidisciplinary team in order to support field development activities.
• Planning and managing petrophysical studies aimed at short and medium term field exploitation activities, exploration, reservoir management and scope maturation.
• Applying state of the art petrophysical interpretation techniques and working closely with other disciplines.
• Planning and monitoring cost-effective logging and coring.
• Supporting less experienced staff in line with the staff development plans.

The Person

The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:

• Degree or higher in Geoscience or other relevant degree
• 10+ years experience working in a similar role.
• Professionalism, motivation and above average problem solving skills.
• An innovative mind.
• Well developed inter personal and presentation skills
• Good team player and effective mentoring skills.
• Enjoy working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
