The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Technologist to join a small multi-disciplinary team to provide subsurface support and strategic technical leadership. This will include providing expert PT advice and support for subsurface work programmes, studies, and projects for both green and brown fields.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in defining and delivering relevant PT work scopes to support development activities
- Co-ordinate PT requirements for assurance in accordance with company's methods and guidelines.
- Provision of Stimulation Plans including strategy, detailed objectives and components plus the data acquisition plan.
- Integration of results to develop the Stimulation Plan and dynamically update the forward program
- Expectation modelling and stimulated well/pattern modelling.
- Post-Frac Technical Evaluation
- Artificial lift design and full life cycle strategy
- Work with Production Operations on well operating philosophy, pump sizing, artificial lift optimisation.
The Person
The follow skills experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- 8+ years experience working as a Production Technologist.
- Solid experience in working with unconventional gas reservoirs including frontier basins and opportunities.
- Sound knowledge and experience in operating reservoir simulation models and understanding and operating hydraulic fracture models for unconventional gas reservoirs.
- Average user in PT/PE software including hydraulic fracturing and well performance modules.
- Knowledge and experience in stimulation projects.
- Able to identify opportunities and assess value of new well designs and fields through the development of business case and preparing detailed well completion design.
- Solid data management skills.
- Must have worked on international assignments & projects in different reservoirs.
- Must have worked on one or more assignments in operations, field developments, new venture evaluations, licence rounds, exploration evaluations.
- Proven project management and leadership skills.
- Strong and effective communication skills.
- Highly motivated.
