The Role

Highly successful EPC services provider with expertise in offshore and subsea projects.

The Role

The Head Global Sales & Marketing will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the effective management of the Sales and Marketing function of the company's business for the off-shore sector. This will include:

  • Marketing Analysis for assigned client sector group and regions
  • Establishing clients/spend for three years ahead
  • Identification and evaluation of quality prospects including following leads and securing new clients.
  • Identification of key technology, product development and acquisition opportunities
  • Input and support to develop and implement strategies.
  • Manage key client accounts including Client Action Plans (CAP).

Accountabilities will include:

  • Support the CEO to drive Marketing so as to enhance revenues.
  • Collect market intelligence with an emphasis on key accounts.
  • Manage overall business profitability.
  • Establish & develop systems to exploit group synergies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of all processes and systems by initiating, implementing and measuring improvements of the performance.
  • Provide support for the recruitment and development of key members of the group.
  • Manage risk and sustainability by adapting strategies to each region, oversee and manage company operations and keep abreast of competitor activity, new projects opportunities and industry trends.
  • Create partnerships in target market space.
  • Bid and win projects in line with the Business Plan.

The Person

This is a local position so Indian nationality is essential. The following skills experience and qualifications are required:

  • Degree or higher is essential. For example degree such as BE/ B.Tech and Post Graduate or Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA).
  • 15 - 25 yrs of experience with good understanding of the global economic scenario and ability to identify emerging markets to suit the company's objectives.
  • Experience of sales and marketing in a competitive EPC environment.
  • Cross functional Exposure to EPC Project Management and control.
  • Proven success identifying and securing opportunities for major projects. Experience with offshore projects an advantage.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen
  • Proven leadership skills for a minimum of 8 to 10 direct reports
  • Strong networking ability to gather market intelligence (ahead of competitors, first move advantage).
  • Strong client focus.
  • Strong understanding of the local culture, laws and local dynamics.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
  • Skill in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, clients and at all levels within the company.
