The Opportunity
Our client has multiple expatriate positions for experienced Production Geologists. These positions are within their multidisciplinary teams that provide support for field development and reservoir management. They require:
- A solid, all-round production/development geologist with demonstrable hands-on expertise in implementing field development plans, generating & supporting reservoir management and surveillance plans, generating new(development) opportunities, and framing requirements for & overseeing reservoir studies.
- Well developed skills in subsurface mapping and static reservoir modelling (using Petrel) are essential as they will enable you to make a rapid and substantial contribution to the team.
- Practical & working knowledge of EOR and reservoir management (surveillance / monitoring program) preferable.
- Mentoring less experienced staff.
The Person
In addition to the technical skills in the areas mention above the following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree or higher in a Geoscience discipline
- A minimum of 8 years experience in Development and Production Geology within the oil and gas industry preferably within an operator environment.
- Drive and enthusiasm, an open mind and a wish to develop and share skills.
- Effective spoken and written communication skills and well developed inter-personal and presentation skills
- An effective team player who enjoys working in small multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams.
- Good coaching and mentoring skills.
