Our client is a successful oil and gas exploration and production company. The company is in a very pleasant Middle East location and provides a very supportive work environment and the opportunity to work with advanced Technologies.
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking experienced Development Geologists to work with their development project teams to provide technical support which includes:
- Participate in the determination and execution of the team's strategy to maximize the value of its assets.
- Participate in field development planning and implementation and provide technical expertise for reservoir characterization and reservoir modeling.
- Undertake integrated reservoir modelling studies which incorporate geoscience, petrophysics and reservoir data.
- Mentor less experienced staff.
The Person
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:
- Degree or higher in a Geoscience discipline
- Min 8 years of experience in oil and gas industry in development and production Geology.
- Practical experience in development (production) and geology reservoir management.
- Expert in 3D reservoir geological modelling, reservoir sedimentology/ sequence stratigraphy and geostatistics.
- Involved in reservoir modelling studies in various depositional and tectonic environments, ideally involving both clastic and carbonate reservoirs.
- Drive and enthusiasm, an open mind and a wish to develop and share skills.
- Effective spoken and written communication skills and
- Strong inter-personal and presentation skills
- An effective team player
- Good coaching and mentoring skills.
