One of the leading oil companies in the Gulf States
based in a safe and expat friendly location.
The remit of the Production
Geologist is to carry out detailed reservoir geological characterisation and
modelling studies and incorporate relevant aspects of other disciplines, in
order to deliver / maintain / provide input to fit-for-purpose field development
plans to maximise hydrocarbon recovery. Identify opportunities for enhancing
application of Information Technology and Data Management to meet PE
requirements.
Key accountabilities include:

Undertake reservoir geological
characterization to high technical standards and incorporate relevant aspects
of other disciplines.

Undertake integrated reservoir
studies to define future development opportunities and reserves potential.

Provide G&G input to subsequent
Field Developments and STOIIP/Reserve revisions.

Liaise with New Oil and
Reservoir Management teams to embed / transfer reservoir models, FDP concepts
and proposals.

Participate in presentations of
FDPs and proposals to Company management, Private Shareholders and the
Ministry of Oil and Gas.

Identify and provide support to
reservoir geology / modelling research projects, which impact the reservoir
development and management activities.

Identify areas where the
acquisition of additional reservoir geology data would reduce geological
uncertainties support or design / contribute to appropriate reservoir geology
data acquisition programs.

Identify opportunities for
enhancing the application of Information Technology and Data Management to
meet the operational and PE planning requirements.

| Qualifications/ Experience: |
The following skills,
qualifications and experience are required:

University degree in Geology
-
Minimum 6 years in Production
Geology
-
Technically strong in
Production Geology field with good all around knowledge of other PE
disciplines.

Modelling skills are
recommended.

Good leadership skills;
experience working effectively in multidisciplinary teams and is a strong team
player.

Effective communicator, ability
to coach/ mentor younger staff and ability to think beyond discipline.
