Sales Director

Position Description:

This position is a key management role based in Perth, Australia as he/she will be responsible for both the sales management and business development activities for the territory plus responsible for managing the local operation. He/she will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Asia Pacific.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Grow, develop and maintain software, maintenance and support and training revenue in the designated region/territory.
  • Jointly manage with the Technical Director, resources (such as consultants and technical support people) to ensure timely and effective execution of contracted work and evaluations.
  • Develop and communicate account capture strategies for all major accounts within region/territory.
  • Develop and Actively Manage Strategic account plans or all major accounts within region/territory
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business and put the appropriate business development plans in place, which grows the company’s market share and revenue base.
  • Accurately forecast expected quarterly, semi-annual and annual revenues.
  • Present the company’s position to prospective and existing clients in a professional and consistent manner.
  • Identify appropriate personnel to hire in order to grow the business.
  • Run promotional program’s activities to increase the profile of the company in the territory.
  • To follow corporate guidelines and sales policy.
  • To build inter-regional relationships with other offices to exploit global accounts

Qualifications/Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • Bachelor of Science or Applied Science - Post Graduate (desirable)
  • Experience in the oil/gas E&P
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate a history of sales excellence with at least 10 years in a business development or account management position.
  • Have a good understanding of the Sarbane Oxley Act, US GAP regulations for revenue recognition and the VSOE
  • Ability to close complex software/solutions deals
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplined resources
  • Ability to meet quarterly revenue targets
  • Ability to communicate with clients at various level within a given account
  • High level of commercial acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Well organized
