Senior Counsel (Contracts)

Position Description:

Responsibilities for this role include analysing, drafting, structuring, negotiating, finalizing and administering engineering consulting, services and construction contracts related to petroleum upstream and downstream activities.

Qualifications/Experience:

The following skills, experience and qualifications are required:

  • University Law Degree (JD or LLB)

  • 15 years or more professional experience working in a similar role within the Petroleum industry (upstream and downstream).

  • In addition to EPC contracts, relevant experience may include contractual experience with feasibility studies, Pre-FEED and FEED related activities.

  • Experience in the regulation and administration of tender activities is also useful.

  • Professional legal experience may be gained either as an in-house lawyer or with a law firm.
