This position reports to the Senior Well Operations Engineer and is responsible for all Well Intervention Operations both rigless and rig based. The role will ensure that all operations are planned, budgeted and executed safely, also ensuring that industry best practices are employed to enable the most cost effective solutions.

The position will also ensure that all operations are effectively reported and that lessons learnt are shared. The position shall establish and report statistics on the productivity of the well intervention crews to demonstrate effective utilization and optimum manning and equipment levels.

The position will be responsible for Well Intervention related contracts, ensure that the appropriate contracts are in place and that the appropriate contract resources are available to meet the requirements of all the Company’s rigless and rig based well intervention activities.

Tasks and Duties:

• Establish and enforce a standard process for job preparation, from concept to outstanding worklist to approval to plan to programme and reports including responsibilities.

• Establish and maintain a process and reporting system for reporting the operating efficiency of Well Intervention activities and resources for both rigless and rig based operations.

• Liaise with the Well Operations Planner to ensure that the outstanding worklist and Production Engineering plans are current.

• Ensure that before projects reach the plan they are of optimum design, achievable, budgeted and resourced.

• Establish and maintain a process for reporting costs for all well intervention operations both rigless and rig based.

• Responsible for maintaining the Well Intervention Manual, updating as required. This will be the primary reference document for Well Intervention operations both rigless and rig based.

• Ensure every Well Intervention operation has a workpack including a programme and procedure detailed appropriately to the hazards of the operation. This is aimed at ensuring safe and efficient execution of the operation within budget.

• Maintain regular contact with direct reports (offshore Well Intervention Supervisors) to ensure that they are constantly aware of programme requirements and that the work is being executed to achieve these requirements.

• Perform regular offshore visits to discuss Well Intervention team performance and ensure all team members are aligned with the Well Intervention and Production Engineering goals.

• Maintain constant contact with customers (Asset Production Engineers, Production Optimisation, Drilling Superintendents) to ensure awareness of their requirements and to ensure they understand the process for initiating projects.

• Liaise with the Production Engineering Financial Analyst to ensure that planned operations are correctly funded. Ensure that purchase orders and service orders are correctly allocated within the budget structure.

• Establish and maintain process for planning work and for statistical reporting of Well Intervention performance against the plan.
