A specialist petroleum engineering consultancy providing skills to the design and performance of their clients’ oil and gas wells with production engineering services spanning the entire oilfield life cycle, from exploration and appraisal drilling right through to well abandonment. Offices in Europe, America and the Middle East.

Carry out Petroleum Engineering work across a large number of projects. Experienced all aspects of petroleum technology including inflow performance optimisation, completion design, sand failure prediction, control and management, flow optimisation (including flow assurance); temperature modelling and prediction, tubing stress analysis and completion design; Artificial lift analysis and design production data acquisition specifications and interpretation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out petroleum engineering studies and project work in line with the Company’s Project Delivery Process and Project Service Agreements (PSA).

  • Work with Business Managers to prepare PSAs

  • Carry out project work within one or more of the Company’s key offerings or aspects of the key offerings.

  • Work as an engineering team member whether within the Company’s office or a client’s offices.

  • Provide cost effective solutions to Production Technology challenges. Demonstrating the sound use of engineering skills and reporting the results clearly and concisely.

  • Carry out work in compliance with Company and industry standards.

  • Communicate through verbal, presentation and written medium, the progress and the findings of the study.

  • Carry out work with a high level of cost efficiency.

  • Identify future work opportunities and refer the opportunities to Business Managers.

  • Carry out work that promotes the use of production technology skills in the oil industry through presentation of work at industry forums.

  • Identify, monitor and assess novel technologies, software and operating practices, which could benefit the Company and its clients.

  • To understand and promote the role of production technology in the operating oil company

  • When working in operational assignments, ensure that all operations are undertaken according to the client’s policies and procedures.

Personal Development

  • Develop and maintain skills to enable work to be carried out over the range of the Company’s key offerings.

  • Be proactive in developing skills in new areas of Company business.

Qualifications/ Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • A MSc in petroleum engineering or equivalent degree (e.g. BSc in mining, mechanical, chemical engineering with a depth oil field experience). Alternately, have a degree level qualification in science subject and a considerable depth of knowledge of petroleum technology.

  • Ability to demonstrate production technology and operational experience with an operating oil company or a combination of operating oil company and a major service sector company and/or consultancy.

  • A familiarity with production technology software.

  • Possessing analytical and interpretative skills/expertise.

  • Have a high level of competency in spoken and written English.
