A large growing, independent oil and gas producer with global operations. Its main business activities are the exploration, development, production and marketing of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. It is a billion-dollar company, with operations in Canada and its subsidiaries operate in the North Sea, Southeast Asia, Australia, North Africa, the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. It’s subsidiaries are also active in a number of other international areas, including Colombia, Gabon, Peru, Romania and Qatar.

Provide reservoir engineering evaluation and support to operated and non-operated blocks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and update the field reservoir model that is currently being prepared.

  • Confirm that the exploitation plan developed by the Operator is appropriate.

  • Provide technical assistance for the unitization of field to protect the Company’s interest.

  • Provide a technical advisor role for exploitation of field.

  • Prepare petroleum and reservoir engineering evaluation studies and proposals for non-op fields as required.

  • Evaluate new opportunities for acquisitions, farmins, exploration blocks, etc and provide forecast production and exploitation potential.

  • Review reservoir management plans and field development strategies prepared by the operators. Assist in updating and optimizing plans and strategies as additional geological, reservoir and production performance data becomes available.

  • Evaluate depletion plans and well proposals from operators of blocks.

  • Participate in and evaluate technical committee material

  • Provide backup for supervisor as appropriate

  • Develop and train junior staffs with emphasis on transfer of technology/know how and advanced methods.

Qualifications/ Experience: The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of directly applicable experience.
  • Familiar with all aspects of production geology and production reservoir engineering including enhanced oil recovery.
