Position Description:
Rotating Equipment Engineer role for candidates of
Malaysian nationality to work as part of the Production Excellence team in the
Kuala Lumpur office, the role will provide Operational and Brownfield
Facilities Engineering support to Operated and Non Operated assets within the
region. Responsibilities will include working directly with the Facilities
Engineers embedded in the assets, helping to facilitate and direct facilities
and process reviews for asset optimization. The selected candidate is expected
to a have a background in increasing the reliability of rotating equipment
used in offshore/onshore operations in the energy industry. The selected
candidate should be able to interpret Reliability Based Inspection routines,
and use these to develop strategies and tasks aimed at increasing the life of
the equipment, lowering operational and maintenance costs, and ensuring that
the equipment performs as expected over its life cycle.
It is essential that this role liaises fully with the
regional operating asset teams and will require routine on site visits. The
selected candidate should be prepared for 25% travel within the region in
order to provide technical support to the operating assets.
Responsibilities include:

Provide Facilities Engineering direction and technical
support in facilities process optimization / Brownfield modifications to
employees in the SEA regional and asset offices. Assistance to be provided
with technical evaluations and analysis of data with direct involvement in
implementation of recommendations.

Provide guidance on increasing MTBF for rotating
equipment

Develop and implement strategy to increase MTBO for
rotating equipment
-
Act as regional Technical Authority for applicable
disciplines, working with asset level and technical service vendors for
recommended process improvements where appropriate or required to allow life
cycle asset performance.

Expected to have a working knowledge of applicable
industry and Company specific standards and policies to ensure that all
process / facilities modifications adhere to such expectations.

Participate in the development and implementation of
Facilities Engineering Specifications, Procedures and Systems for both asset
and regional utilization.

Maintain up-to date risk registers for all operated
assets and any Brownfield modifications required to improve facilities
performance. Monthly review of Risk register is required for compliance.

Working with functional organization within Operated and
Non Operated assets, provide technical oversight and advice for TCM/ OCM
business items and agenda topics.

Build Regional/Asset Library of Engineering Documents to
be available to the SEA Operations community.

Assist Operations Director in reviewing and commenting on
plans and reports from Operated and Non-Operated assets.

Will serve as coordinator for Asset Integrity Management
issues

Interface with Original Equipment Manufacturers on
operating issues and serve as the fleet manager for Solar turbines

Understand and follow guidelines provided in Facility
Integrity Manual

Assist regional consultants in benchmarking and
improvement activities.

Participate in interview and selection processes for
Facilities Staff across the region.

Participate with Company Global EPT initiatives, as
required.
Qualifications/Experience:
The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:
- Extensive experience in facilities design, modification and process
analysis. Management of Greenfield/Brownfield projects directing
multidiscipline teams desirable.
- Wide ranging experience in Operations and Facilities, including trouble
shooting and analysis of recommended improvements with proven results.
- Proven experience as a Senior Facilities Engineer with ability to
integrate in a multidiscipline team for optimal asset performance
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Strong analytical skills applied to troubleshoot facilities process
improvements and modifications.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple
concurrent projects in a Brownfield environment
- Ability to lead Root Cause Failure Analysis teams in the investigation
of machinery issues
- Ability to build relationships and work to develop information exchanges
across the region and globally within the Company’s community, even without
direct authority
- The ability to understand and balance competing business drivers for the
asset and the organization.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills to develop and assist personnel at
multiple grade levels across the organization
- Open communication style that builds trust with working team members
