Position Description:
Provide high level technical expertise in the area of
Reservoir Engineering to the Company’s Reservoir and Asset Managers. The role
supports the Petroleum Engineering Departments key performance objectives of
maximising reserves bookings, optimising field development and production.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Responsibility for developing and maintaining the Asset
Field Development Plans and associated reservoir simulations.

Lead asset area reserves certification processes via
reservoir modelling, accurate reporting and reservoir data gathering
programs.

Responsible for asset production long and short term
production forecasting for business plans, budgets and field developments.

Responsibility for engineering planning of pilot
programs, predicting performance, monitoring and interpreting results.

Advise on well data gathering programs and analyse
results in exploration, appraisal and development wells including but not
limited too permeability data acquisition, stress data and fluid
compositions.

Support the Asset continual improvement initiatives by
studying and recommending optimal well spacing, infill drilling
opportunities and enhanced recovery opportunities

Actively support the Company’s commitment to
occupational health and safety and the environment, including:

Adopting standard safe work practices and procedures in
accordance with the Company’s safety policies;

Eliminating or reporting workplace hazards, taking part
in safety drills and other activities and supporting the work of safety
representatives and committees;

Conducting activities in accordance with the Company’s
environmental policies, codes and guidelines, in particular minimising
energy and material usage in the workplace; and

Actively adhering to the Company’s Human Resources
policies.
Qualifications/Experience:
The following skills, qualifications and experience are
required:
-
Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering or Science.

CBM experience required
-
A minimum of 10 years experience in the Petroleum
industry with the specific reservoir management skills of simulation, field
development planning and reservoir monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have sufficient experience to
contribute and/or lead project multidisciplinary projects and studies
through to completion.

Knowledge of other discipline tasks such as operations,
drilling, facilities engineering, log analysis, geology and geophysics.

Medium to high level business understanding particularly
project economics and business planning.

High level computing skills including Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

Exposure and knowledge of industry standard reservoir and
production engineering software.

Some travel and field work will be required in the
performance of this role.
