An independent, privately-owned Middle Eastern upstream oil and gas company engaged in exploration and development, the production and sale of crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas. It is headquartered in the UAE, with international offices strategically located in the UK, Iraq and Iran and affiliate offices in Canada and Egypt.

To develop and produce the hydrocarbon reserves of the Company and the surrounding area safely, efficiently and profitably.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Conduct all operations in a manner that will be a credit to the Company and its employees.

  • Ensure operations are efficient, safe, cost effective and result in a profitable investment.

  • Avoid adverse effects on the environment.

  • Provide job satisfaction and a healthy and safe work-place for employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Company facilities, associated equipment and materials are of proper design are operated and maintained to minimize risk to health, safety and the environment

  • Maintain safe working practices and a safe working for all production, oil and gas export, pipelines and flow lines, drilling and well related activities.

  • Achieve optimum utilisation, effectiveness, and efficiency of all field and resources to meet business needs based personnel and production plans.

  • Enforce Company and Statutory HSE Standards personnel and requirements in minimizing loss and risk to personnel and assets.

Tasks:

  • Maintain management system of policies/standards/procedures/reporting structure

  • Approve planning systems and documents.

  • Approve resource allocation, training programs & human resource management decisions and standards.

  • Set production targets.

  • Approve well servicing programs.

  • Approve annual budget and work program.

  • Approve contracts and work programs of outside vendors and contractors.

  • Inform Director, E&P and other departmental heads of ongoing field activities

  • Provide liaison and support to other departments, as required.

Qualifications/ Experience:
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent.

  • 15 years in operations combining drilling, production, and a practical site engineering role with 10 years supervisory and management experience.
