Established fast growing company providing state of the art satellite, telemetry and communications systems for drilling rigs, platforms and associated facilities around the world.

Seeking an energetic, innovative, and seasoned Business Development Manger with direct sales experience who can accept the challenges and rewards associated with an entrepreneurial, high-energy, and fast-paced oil and gas communications environment.

This position involves the direct sales and marketing of the Company’s managed communications service and would include prospecting, negotiating, and securing closure on new business and contracts. A strong focus on the Arabian Gulf countries will be expected but shall not limit this position from other international market opportunities should they arise.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Identify and evaluate current and new customer potentials, prioritizing opportunities for closure

  • Upsell new technologies and devices to existing customer base

  • Prospect, evaluate, propose innovative solutions, and close with minimal support

  • Along with new business, properly account manage key in-house accounts

  • Plan and implement sales, customer retention, and sales team development programs

  • 35% travel throughout the Middle East will be expected

Qualifications/ Experience:

The following skills, qualifications and experience are required:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Science/Engineering

  • Must have basic familiarity of the Oil & Gas industry and/or offshore marine sector and how it operates

  • Must possess at least 3 years experience in a Oil & Gas related sales position

  • Satellite and communications experience, both voice and data

  • Someone with a background in general remote communications would be suitable. This could be microwave, vsat, two-way radio, wifi, wimax, broadcast satellite, etc.

  • Financial and budgetary analysis skills a strong plus.

  • Must be customer focused, self-motivated, and capable of working independently

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and possess strong presentation skills

  • Must be confident, articulate, and able to effectively persuade decision makers

  • Candidate must possess superior PC skills with ability to draft error free proposals and business cases
