Contracts Engineer

Position Description:
The client is in the
process of finalising installation contracts and are seeking at least one and
possibly two high caliber contracts engineers to be based in Australia with
some travel within SEA. The contract period will be at least until Q4 2011.
Potential for allocation to another project at the conclusion of this
contract.
Qualifications/Experience:
The following skills, experience and
qualifications are required:

Minimum of ten years experience within the
upstream oil and gas industry providing quality. contracts management and
engineering services.

Experience of offshore installation
contracts and ideally FPSOs.

Should have worked for both contractors
and operators.

Attention to detail with very good legal
and contractual correspondence drafting skills is essential.

Very numerate and commercially astute.

Able to identify and assess contractual
and Project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Experience in analyzing contractors
claims, preparing robust defenses and subsequently negotiating beneficial
outcomes.

The individual needs to be proactive,
tenacious and a persuasive advocate of company objectives in an environment
where there are many conflicting egos and agendas.
